The Upper Room was the refuge and launchpad for Christ's twelve apostles. It was there that they celebrated the first Mass, adored our Lord, took refuge after Calvary, met the risen Christ and awaited the Holy Spirit. Quite a room!
Like the apostles, UpperRoom for us is a place to pour our heart out to God in Adoration and receive his direction and strength in Benediction. The 7pm Thursday Holy Hour includes praise and worship, a brief reflection, silent prayer, the litany of the saints, benediction, and the opportunity for confession.
After renewing our friendship with Christ, we get to make new friends next door, enjoying refreshments, music and great company.
